Who is responsible

Accra Casino Guide, publisher of accracasinoguide.com, is responsible for this site and for the measurement described below. Write to desk@accracasinoguide.com about anything on this page. The same address handles corrections and complaints about the site itself.

Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) governs personal data here, and the Data Protection Commission is the supervisory body. If you are not satisfied with a reply from us, you can take it to them.

What is measured

Every page sends one short request to this domain when it loads. It carries the hostname, the path you are on, a random identifier generated in your browser for that single page view, the address of the page that referred you, the language your browser reports and the width of the window. It carries no name, no email address and nothing entered into a form, because there is no form on this site to enter anything into.

A second, smaller request follows the first time a visit does something a person does: moves a pointer, taps, scrolls or presses a key. It is sent once, it carries only that same per-page identifier, and its entire purpose is to separate readers from automated crawlers in our own traffic counts. Without it a scraper and a person are indistinguishable in a server log.

The identifier is random, it is generated fresh on every page load and it is discarded when the tab closes. It is not stored on your device, it is not linked to any other visit, and it cannot be used to recognise you on a later one.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all. There is no login, no basket, no preference to remember and no advertising network embedded in any page. The measurement described above uses a single request rather than storage on your device.

There is no consent banner here for the same reason. A banner asking permission for something that is not happening is theatre, and it trains people to click through the ones that matter.

Third parties

No third-party analytics, advertising or social script runs on this site today. The layout is written to load Yandex Metrica when a counter is configured for this domain, and none is. If that changes, this section changes with it, because it reads the configuration rather than describing it from memory.

Pages are served by a hosting provider, which keeps its own request logs including IP addresses, as any web server does. Those logs belong to the host and are used to serve the site and to defend it against attack.

Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font network, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you did.

When you follow a link to a bookmaker

Some links here pass through a redirect on this domain before they reach an operator. That step records that a click happened and which operator it was for. It does not attach your identity to the click, because the site does not hold one.

What happens after you arrive is the operator's business and its privacy policy, not this one. A bookmaker will typically learn that you came from an affiliate, and if you open an account it will collect everything a licensed gambling operator in Ghana is required to collect, including identity documents. Read its policy before you register, not after.

What is never collected

• Names, addresses, dates of birth or identity documents. There is no registration here.
• Payment details of any kind. No money changes hands on this site.
• Mobile money numbers. If a page asks you for one, you are not on this site.
• A profile of you across other websites, and no data is sold or shared for advertising.
• Anything from a person under eighteen, who should not be on a gambling site at all.

Your rights, and their honest limit

Under Act 843 you may ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected and ask for it to be erased. Write to the address above and we will answer.

The honest limit is worth stating in advance. Because the measurement above holds no identifier that survives a page view, we are usually unable to find any record that belongs to you specifically, and there is nothing personal to hand over or delete. That is a consequence of collecting almost nothing rather than a refusal.

If you have written to the address above, that email exists and we can delete it on request.

Changes

Any change to what this site measures is a change to this page, made at the same time. The date at the foot of every page is the day this version was published.
