How an acca bonus actually pays

It pays on winnings, not on your stake

An acca bonus is a percentage added to a winning accumulator. It is not a deposit match, and it is not money that lands when you register. Every leg has to come in. One loss and the bonus goes with the slip.

Read the wording, because two phrases are doing different jobs. BetFox pays its acca bonus on net winnings. Soccabet pays the Socca Bonus on total winnings. Net winnings means your profit. Total winnings means the return with your stake inside it. On ten cedis at odds of 32.00 that is the difference between a percentage of 310 and a percentage of 320.

betPawa's Win Bonus is a third shape. It is not a deposit match at any point and must never be read as one. The multiplier grows with the number of selections on the slip and applies to the winnings, reaching its ceiling at sixty legs.

The ladder, and what each rung costs

The percentage rises with the number of legs. Premier Bet publishes the plainest ladder in this market: two per cent at two selections, climbing a point at a time to twenty per cent at twenty, then on to 150 per cent at thirty-seven. Soccabet starts at the same two per cent and reaches 100 per cent at thirty. Betway's Win Boost opens at three per cent on a two-fold.

Now price the climb. Take ten cedis across five legs at 2.00. The odds multiply to 32.00, the slip returns 320 cedis and the profit is 310. Five selections sit at five per cent on the Premier Bet ladder, so the bonus is about fifteen cedis. Add five more legs at the same price and the return becomes 10,240 cedis with a ten per cent bonus behind it.

The catch is in the price you accepted. A leg at 2.00 is an implied one chance in two, so ten of them landing together is one in 1,024 before the bookmaker's margin is counted at all. The bonus percentage climbs in a straight line. The chance of collecting it falls off a cliff.

The odds floor decides which legs count

Most ladders carry a minimum price on each selection. SportyBet, Betway and MSport publish 1.20. betPawa publishes 1.10. BetFox publishes no minimum odds at all on its acca bonus, which is unusual and is one of the few places in this market where the terms are looser than the banner.

A leg under the floor is not simply ignored in every case. The terms decide whether that selection drops out or the whole slip drops out of the offer, and those two outcomes are a long way apart. A 1.08 favourite added for comfort can cost the bonus on the other nine legs. Settle that question before the slip is placed, not after it lands.

Where the money lands, and in what form

A bonus paid in cash and a bonus paid in bonus funds are different products. Betway's free bets run 180 days and return the winnings without the stake. Soccabet's registration free bet is reported to pay profit only, on the same basis. betPawa describes its weekly casino cashback as withdrawable with no wagering attached and no cap, which is the exception rather than the rule here.

One more thing separates the acca ladders from the welcome offers in this market, and it is worth carrying into any comparison. The ladders are published by the bookmakers themselves. A good share of the welcome-offer figures quoted for Ghana are not: they are what several affiliate sites agree on, and the operator publishes nothing we could read. An acca bonus you can check on the operator's own promotions page is a firmer thing than a percentage nobody will show you.

So the useful question about an acca bonus is not how large the percentage is. It is what arrives, whether you can withdraw it, and what you have to stake before you can.
